An escape room is an experience that locks you in a room for 60 minutes, whereby you must solve clues and puzzles to escape before the timer runs out!
Each game varies, but in order to succeed the room will test your problem solving skills. There will be logic puzzles, observational tasks, and occasionally physical challenges. No prior knowledge will be required to avoid being trapped in. On average 50% of groups successfully escape.
Games are suitable for anyone. Groups of friends, students, work colleagues or family. Children can play too, but we’d recommend over 12 and they must be accompanied by a playing adult. Games are also great for team building events and we can arrange competitions between groups. We also accommodate birthday parties, stag and hen parties, in fact any group can be accommodated.
Air Traffic Control, Time Machine and Crazy Clown Carnival are designed for 2 to 6 players, and Ruby Factory is designed for 3 to 8 players. No matter what size your party you will have exclusive use of your booked room.
Yes, absolutely, as long as you don't exceed the maximum number of players for the room you want to play, i.e. 6 players in Air Traffic Control, Time Machine or Crazy Clown Carnival and 8 players in Ruby Factory.
There is no dress code, however wear comfortable clothing. You will be able to leave your coats and belongings in reception whilst you play. We would not recommend coming in fancy dress.
All our rooms are a decent size, although there may be dark bits, you’re unlikely to be claustrophobic. There’s always a way out at any time should you need it.
Our staff will let you out and brand you a failure. You're welcome to come back and try again
The prize is the gratification that you've beaten the room! We'll take a group photo and post it to our Facebook page for you to show off! Maybe you could even beat our best escape times and claim a place on our leaderboard?
Each game gets a limited number of hints and clues to make sure you enjoy your experience.
All rooms have emergency exit buttons, so you can get out at any time if you feel the need. You'll also be watched through CCTV by our staff to ensure your safety at all times.
Please ensure all your group arrive 15 minutes before your booked time slot to allow time for briefing before the game starts. If you arrive late we can't guarantee your slot will be available, and you may have less than the full hour to escape.
There's plenty of parking nearby, with a big public car park 100yds before you arrive at our postcode on the left. After 6pm you can park for free at the meters opposite our main entrance.
Our Trapped In rooms use some flashing lights and smoke effects. Therefore, they may not be suitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy.
